Procurement

The Housing Authority of the City of Eufaula (EHA) follows the guidelines and policies of HUD, as well as local and state authorities in our procurement processes. We encourage Section 3 participation. The Section 3 program requires that recipients of certain HUD financial assistance, to the greatest extent possible, provide training, employment, contracting and other economic opportunities to low- and very low-income persons, especially recipients of government assistance for housing, and to businesses that provide economic opportunities to low- and very low-income persons.

If you are a recipient of government assistance for housing or if your income falls below HUD's income limits, you may qualify as a Section 3 worker, targeted worker or Section 3 business concern. Learn more about Section 3.

The EHA encourages the following to participate in ALL EHA Procurements:

1. Small Business: one that is independently owned, not dominant in its field of operations; and is not an affiliate or subsidiary of a business dominant in its field of operations.

2. Minority-Owned Business: one that is at least 51% owned by one or more minority group members and whose management and daily business operations are controlled by one or more such individuals.

3. Women's Business Enterprise: a business that is a least 51% owned by a woman or women who also control or operate the business.
